Here’s just some of the team behind Upstreamly :
Amir founded Upstreamly in May 2015, following the downward spiral in oil prices, with the primary aim of providing an alternative, tailored and expert solution focused on the upstream oil and gas industry in the UK and globally.
Based in London, Amir is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and holds an Economics Degree from the London School of Economics. Working up to Manager level at PwC London, Amir thereafter held several senior finance roles at oilfield services companies in the UK and internationally.
Amir is particularly interested in streamlining finance functions of clients through a higher level of automation and ensuring they work seamlessly with other departments including procurement and operations to add value as business partners. By implementing processes, procedures and systems for clients, Amir aims to minimise the cost of the finance function whilst ensuring a strong audit trail is maintained as well as compliance with latest accounting standards (IFRS & US GAAP) and tax legislation.
♦ Senior Associate
David joined Upstreamly in June 2016. Based in Aberdeen, David looks after Upstreamly’s oil and gas clients operating in the North Sea region.
David graduated with BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. He is currently undertaking his chartered accountant qualifications, expecting to be fully qualified in 2017. David has prior experience working in a variety of finance functions within international oilfield service companies and oil and gas operators.
With experience in many aspects of accounting and tax, David focuses on implementing monthly finance reports for our clients, providing financial analysis and integration with other business functions. David provides support with all day-to-day finance operations including management accounts, payroll and benefits, statutory accounts, VAT and corporation tax reporting and compliance.
