The ICAEW Business Advice Service (BAS) provides professional advice for owner-run businesses, startups and SMEs. Launched in 2011, BAS aims to promote ICAEW Chartered Accountants as the first source of financial and business advice to entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized businesses. At a time of fragile recovery and limits on public spending, there is a clear need for expert business advice which will help SMEs and start-up businesses become engines of growth.
BAS has also received support from many including Boris Johnson, former Secretary of State for Business Vince Cable and former Shadow Business Secretary Chuka Umunna, highlighting BAS’s importance in the business advice area.
How this helps you
As an ICAEW Chartered Accountant registered under the scheme, we can give you expert advice on how best to plan, start, manage and grow your business. As a BAS firm, we offer SMEs and start-ups an initial consultation at no charge to discuss their business needs.
“This is a great example of how established business experts can offer bite-sized chunks of their expertise to help small businesses grow, at a time when they most need support” – Boris Johnson
